Kings Langley Jazz Club (KLJC) is based in:
- the Theatre Bar
- Kings Langley Services Club
- 3-5 Hempstead Road, Kings Langley, WD4 8BJ.
Every Tuesday evening, we present performances from a wide range of quality local musicians playing in combos from trios to 17 piece Big Bands.
Expect anything from Trad, Modern Jazz, Blues, Latin, Swing, American Songbook etc. the full gamut of the music called Jazz.
Details of who is on each week will be found here, a monthly hard copy programme, which you can access at the Club, via our Facebook (FB) page or by signing up to our private WhatsApp Group, or on Lemonrock.
No membership needed. Drinks at club prices. Just sign in, make yourselves comfortable, ready to enjoy the nice stage and super acoustics.
Entrance is free but we do need to pay the bands/musicians, so we have a collection during the evening when the suggested minimum donation is £5 per person, but £10+ contributions are often received when patrons are particularly enjoying the evening’s music.
All donations are very gratefully received by the band, who do get every penny we collect on the night.
From time to time, we host Special Evenings at KLJC, when we invite top professionals to showcase their particular talents, musicianship and inventiveness to our patrons.
We have been fortunate in 2024 to welcome Alan Barnes (saxes, clarinets), Bruce Adams (trumpet/flugelhorn), Simon Spillett (tenor sax), and Gary Wood (trumpet/flugelhorn). We are delighted that Alan and Simon have already committed to dates in 2025, as has guitarist, Nigel Price.
These really are nights not to be missed!
