Programme for November 2025 and some news

Kings Langley Programme – November 2025 P.docx

Hello folks,

Here’s KLJC’s Programme for November – with some good stuff to look forward to, I hope you think so too. I can hardly believe it is only 7 gigs until our two week Christmas/New Year break.

We think you also agree that our inclusion of a few professional gigs into our annual programme has proved to be a big success, with fabulous audience numbers, suggesting that you have enjoyed this foray as much as we have.

So we have decided to increase the number of professional “Specials” in 2026. To help fund this, our irregular Raffles are going to be run once a month from now on – usually on the third week of the month. Please continue to support the club by coming along to KLJC as often as you can – it is you, the audience, that makes the club work by giving playing opportunities to semi-pro musicians in our area, as well as by supporting the extra dynamics of our “Special Evenings”.

For 2026 we already have agreed “Special” dates for Simon Spillett (tenor sax), Alan Barnes (multi instrumentalist (saxes, clarinet), Nigel Price (guitar) all with quality backing bands. All wonderful musicians and not only did we love having them this year, they all enjoyed themselves so much they want to come back and play for us again next year.

Plus, new to the club, Tad Newton and Friends (Trad / modern crossover featuring trumpet, trombone, sax, drums, bass and keys and the vocals of Gary Wood). Some of you will have undoubtedly seen this very popular band before – perhaps at The Pump House, Watford, or at one of the many Jazz Festivals they attend each year around the country.

Watch this space for more news of other “Specials” for 2026

Where else can you get great music, a different band/jazz genre every week, the great ambience of the Theatre Bar (with club prices), great acoustics and a friendly vibe, all for either a £5/£10 donation for our Regular/Specials evenings?

Looking forward to seeing you in November.

Kings Langley's best kept secret. Our Jazz Club (KLJC) has been running for many years and meets regularly each Tuesday evening in the Theatre Bar at the Kings Langley Services Club. We love to see new faces and there is always a great welcome and friendly faces. Come along and see what it's all about. You will be surprised to find the many different types of music and styles that come under the banner of Jazz and we present pretty much all of them.
